Anne

Anne Magege, Director Programs-Health, ELMA Philanthropies.  Anne leads and supports ELMA health programming in maternal, newborn and child health, community health systems, HIV/AIDS, digital health, vaccines and immunization, oxygen, health workforce, and infrastructure development.  She leads the ELMA/BMGF/CIFF/MacArthur Foundation investment in the Newborn Essential Solutions and Tools (NEST) initiative focusing on improving care for small and sick newborns through a bundle of appropriate technology, improved data systems, clinical and biomedical engineering education, and global goods development, including the newborn implementation toolkit. Previously, Anne worked in the NGO sector in South Africa, developing and implementing programs focused on HIV treatment access, and in New York with the African immigrant community. She has an MS in Management of International Public Service Organizations from New York University and a BA in Economics and Minor in African American Studies from Howard University.
