Ivan

Graduated in Medicine, he holds a PhD degree (1998) in Preventive Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. He is a full professor at the Department of Health, Life Cycles and Society (formerly Maternal and Child Health) at Faculty of Public Health-USP. In research, he coordinates and integrates Brazilian or international teams in the area of Public Health that, through epidemiological and human rights approaches, focus on children, adolescents and young people's health, the HIV and AIDS epidemic, as well as in physical/sexual violence and gender. He served as Associate Editor for the Revista de Saúde Pública (2007-2016) and the Revista Brasileira de Epidemiologia (ad hoc). He serves as senior editor for the journal Global Public Health. He teaches courses, for nutrition and public health students, related to life cycles and health, evidence in public health and introduction to scientific research.
