Josephine

Dr. Josephine Langton is a Senior Lecturer at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Blantyre, Malawi. She is the Postgraduate Lead for Paediatric and Child Health training and a member of the Teaching and Learning Development Centre delivering pedagogical training within the University. Josephine also works as a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Consultant within the Paediatric and Child Health Department at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital. Her academic interests include acute paediatric care, medical education, qualitative research and quality improvement. Through her work with NEST360 as a Co-PI, she has gained unique insight into the importance of broadening the healthcare team to include biomedical engineers and technicians. She has also developed significant experience into how the quality of healthcare can be augmented and improved through appropriate use of innovative technologies. She passionately believes that high quality medical education is crucial for the delivery of exemplary medical care.
