Judith F. Helzner specializes in reproductive and maternal health and rights in the global South. She has over 40 years of experience. Her background includes work a staff member for NGOs such as Pathfinder, the International Women’s Health Coalition, and the International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region. From 2003-2013 she was a donor, serving as Director of Population & Reproductive Health for the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, where she oversaw grantmaking on maternal health, working with colleagues in India, Nigeria and Mexico. Since 2014 she has been an independent consultant, with clients including the World Bank, the United Nations Population Fund/UNFPA, and the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population/IUSSP.
